![]() ![]() ![]() I never filled it and ran it, but I suspect that those inlet/outlet connections would have caused problems. Because of the other physical fitment issues, I removed the radiator and sent it back as defective. When I reconnected the old hoses, they were loose over the inlet and outlet fittings. I was pessimistic about the radiator, so this job was limited to a simple radiator change out, and flush and fill the coolant. I also suspect that the radiator inlet and outlet fittings are a little too small in diameter. So even after you fasten those big clips down, the radiator still flops around, front to rear. The rectangular holes on the top of the radiator that receive the mounting clips that hold the radiator to the chassis are too big. There is not enough room to install bolts, so that would be impractical. Even if the holes did line up, they wouldn't accept the stock mounting clips. In addition, these top holes on the aftermarket radiator are smaller and they are threaded. And because the fan shroud doesn't fit properly, the top clip holes of the fan shroud don't line up with the receiving holes on the radiator. This causes the outer edges of the mechanical fan blades to hit the lower edge of the fan shroud. If you plan to run your stock mechanical fan and fan shroud, the fan shroud sits too high on the aftermarket radiator. Primarily, the problem was that it did not maintain the OEM physical specs: When I did have the time to install it last week, it did not fit! It was disappointing, but not surprising. I wasn't able to install it right away, so it sat there in the box in my garage for a month and a half. When it arrived, I inspected it, and it looked good! I was visually impressed with the quality, and it looked like it had all of the critical properties of an E36 radiator. They are selling venues by which anyone can sell products, which may be good quality, bad quality, expensive or cheap. I'm not going to generalize like a lot of people do, because eBay, Amazon, Craigslist or Alibaba, etc. I haven't read anything specific, so here you go. Everyone always says that you shouldn't buy a cheap aluminum radiator on the internet. ![]()
